Learn more →Why Face Fit Testing Matters
Recent research shows that around 50% of RPE used does not offer the wearer the level of protection assumed. The major reason? It simply doesn't fit.
What Is Face Fit Testing?
A method for checking that a tight-fitting face piece matches the person's facial features and seals adequately to the wearer's face. Required by law for all tight-fitting RPE.
Why Do We Need It?
To ensure the protective mask you wear is suitable for your face profile, maximising protection against harmful airborne substances.
Who Should Be Tested?
All wearers of tight-fitting face pieces — including disposable half masks, re-usable filter masks, full face masks, and SCBA masks.
Legal Requirements
Under COSHH, Control of Asbestos, and HSG53 regulations, all RPE requires a fit test to provide evidence of adequacy and suitability.
