RPE Training

Essential Fit2Fit preparation for first-time users. Covers how to correctly don and doff RPE and perform pre-use checks before a Face Fit Test. Fitting RPE incorrectly can lead to test failure and exposure to contaminated air.

We recommend candidates follow up with a full RPE training course.

Comprehensive user training covering regulations, mask checking before donning, types of filters, maintenance, storage, checks whilst wearing, correct doffing, and — most importantly — correct fitting. This is the biggest cause of failure and exposure.

Covers all RPE types from FFPs (disposables) to full face masks. Each candidate receives a certificate upon completion. Ideally taken before a Face Fit Test.

Advanced course for half and full face RPE, aimed at supervisors or competent employees selected by their employer. Candidates are trained to record, check and maintain employees' RPE as required by law.

Covers responsibilities and duties of a competent person, the law and regulations they must follow, recording and reading checklists, maintenance, types of RPE and filters, misuse of RPE, correct pre-use checks, and awareness of Assigned Protection Factors. Each candidate receives a certificate upon completion.

In-house training for companies who want to offer Qualitative Fit Testing to their employees, carried out by their own Health & Safety or appointed personnel. You will be trained to an HSE Fit Tester level, complying with all HSE standards and regulations.

Note: This course does not provide Fit2Fit accreditation. Candidates must have good knowledge and experience with RPE to Competent Person standard. Includes theory test and practical demonstration. Each candidate receives a certificate upon successful completion.
